Annual Recharter Fee

Troop 405 provides around 600 hours (almost 25 days!) of supervised, planned program a year available to our Scouts for an average of about 50 cents an hour. We charge a $60 annual recharter fee ($30 for new Webelos and siblings) due in February.

Campout Fee

The monthly camping fee is $15. Scouts have a budget of $10/scout to purchase food for the weekend, and the balance is used by the Troop to purchase supplies such as propane, charcoal, paper supplies, etc. Each Patrol selects its menu and purchases food for the campout. A Campout Menu Planning Worksheet is available on the Downloads page to help plan menus. At the next Troop meeting following a campout, scouts submit receipts for food purchased to the Treasurer, who reimburses the cost.

High Adventure Trips

The Troop usually sends a contingent of scouts and leaders to Philmont every other year. In alternate years, some scouts from Troop 405 participate in other High Adventure activities. These are Council activities with a payment and planning schedule that ranges over 12-18 months.
