Weekly Troop Meetings
The boys of Troop 405 have a Troop meeting almost every Tuesday evening year round from 7:00-8:00 pm, in the Scout Room at St Luke's Catholic Church, 4603 Manitou. At these meetings, the boys plan and train for the important monthly campouts. This is also where they will get information on additional upcoming events.
It is essential that Scouts either attend the meeting, or contact their Patrol Leader to keep current with their program.
Parents are always welcome at the Troop meetings, but please keep in mind that the meetings are for the scouts and scout leaders. In general, parents should bring their questions or issues to the monthly Committee meeting.
The first meeting of each month is when we pass out the awards earned by our Scouts within the last month. Uniform inspections are conducted at this meeting, so Scouts should wear their complete class A uniform. For other troop meetings, the red Class B shirt should be worn.

Monthly Patrol Leader Council Meeting
The 4th Tuesday of each month is the Patrol Leader Council meeting. This is a special meeting of the boy leaders of the troop where they plan the upcoming month’s activities. Only, the senior patrol leader, assistant senior patrol leader, and each patrol leader are required to attend this meeting. This is also the meeting where Scouts may have a Scoutmaster conference for rank advancement. Scouts should wear a complete Class A uniform when going for Rank Advancement.

Monthly Aluminum Can Drive

On the first Saturday of each month, we hold a can collection in the parking lot of the church from 9:00 A.M. until Noon. This is a major fundraiser for the troop and we often hold merit badge classes while we are collecting cans.

Courts of Honor
|
 |
Troop 405 holds two Courts of Honor a year, on the 1st Tuesdays in March and September. These formal ceremonies recognize each Scout's leadership, advancement, and other significant accomplishments in front of his family. Some Courts of Honor are preceded by a family potluck supper and you may be asked to bring a covered dish or desert.
